Oxidation Ditch AERODUCT

PPEKO provides modern technologies based on the conventional oxidation ditch technology. They are used in constructing new wastewater treatment plants or in retrofitting the existing ones and can be combined with other processes, such as AGAR®, AeroMem®, FloFBR®.

Traditionally the only function of the oxidation ditch is to reduce pollutants in sewage, but it also allows for full denitrification and dephosphatation. Treatment efficiency depends only on the design of the process stages, which can be divided into respective zones: anoxic, anaerobic and aerobic. There is also a possibility to use special selectors acting as denitrification chambers.

The oxidation ditch technology can be combined with other processes, e.g. with AGAR® moving beds in IFAS or FFAST configuration, which facilitates the existing plants retrofitting and adjusting the plants to increased loads.

The process may or may not involve the use of secondary settling tanks. Alternatively, it can be a part of the AeroMem® membrane bioreactor technology, in which the settling tanks are replaced by ultra filtration membranes.
